Homemade Solar Oven

Guests at our Earth Day Festival on April 22
will have the opportunity to make a solar oven.
(Well, the first 20 people or families who want to
will have that opportunity.)
It’s pretty simple:
a couple of cardboard boxes,
aluminum foil,
a little insulation,
glass and duct tape.
Ours made its debut today.
Ann and Alyssa cooked
Turtle Rock Farm Apricot Bars,
made with apricots, pecans and honey from our farm,
yogurt from our friends at Wagon Creek Creamery
and the Oklahoma sunshine.
It worked!
Delicious apricot bars,
warmed and browned by the sun,
made without one drop of any kind of fossil fuel.
