…when you immerse yourself in nature’s wildness, beauty, bounty, uncertainty, capriciousness, innocence, treachery, and—yes—love, you will be changed. I don’t know how, I only know that you will be. I also know that spending contemplative time in nature will invariably cause you to take some or all of that time with you, back into your everyday world, and that will inevitably change how you live it. It means ‘having it be part of who you are.’

What would it be like to have nature become part of who you are?

No one can predict how internalizing nature will affect him {or her}, but once it has, nothing will ever be the same.
